Is there a way to create a test where I test the registration flow and where I need to click on a confirmation link received in the inbox of the user that is trying to registered.

There is this approach for gmail https://www.npmjs.com/package/gmail-tester

Another approach would be to use any of the available IMAP packages and use username password for login instead of oauth.

Any 'easy' solution I found will charge money. But gmail-tester works just fine
