Tags in Test | Playwright Tutorial - Part 40

It is the same as TestNG group features, in the playwright config file we have to use the grep keyword and specify the tags within the regex.

In this video, the presenter explains the concept of tags in Playwright, a command-line utility for searching plain text data using regular expressions. They demonstrate how to use tags in Playwright by creating a folder called "tags" with a test file containing two tests: sign up and login. The presenter shows how to run specific tags by adding the "@" symbol followed by the tag name in the configuration file. They also show how to run tests excluding specific tags by using the "invert" keyword in the configuration file. The presenter concludes by mentioning that tags in Playwright are similar to grouping in TestNG, and that multiple tags can be combined using regular expressions. Overall, the video offers a simple and straightforward explanation of how to use tags in Playwright.
