Any way to break from `page.expect_download()`?

Hi. For my program I need some ability to break from page.expect_download(), but not from timeout, from my custom things. Is there some way?

This thread is trying to answer question "Is there a way to interrupt `page.expect_download()` based on custom conditions, or to let Chromium handle downloads without Playwright's intervention?"

Or, maybe, to let chromium just download file. As it is, where it goes.
